EXPLORE · WATERFALLS
Wyoming's waterfall geography is primarily in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. Lower Yellowstone Falls drops 308 feet — the most powerful waterfall in the Rocky Mountains — into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Upper Yellowstone Falls drops 109 feet immediately upstream. Both are visible from Artist Point and multiple North and South Rim trails. Undine Falls on the Lava Creek drainage is a 60-foot three-step falls accessible from the Tower-Roosevelt road. Moose Falls near the South Entrance is a 30-foot drop on Crawfish Creek with a roadside pull-off. Outside the parks, Popo Agie Falls near Lander is the highest waterfall in Wyoming accessible without overnight camping.
Waterfall flow varies by season — spring snowmelt produces peak flows. Check trail conditions before visiting remote sites. Some falls are seasonal and may be dry in late summer. Explore all waterfalls on the Trek4Free map →
