EXPLORE · WATERFALLS
Rhode Island has no significant natural waterfalls. The state's streams drop through rocky cascades in places, but nothing qualifies as a named waterfall of note. Stepping Stone Falls on the Wood River in Arcadia Management Area is a small rapid. For waterfall geography, Rhode Island residents drive to southwest Connecticut or western Massachusetts.
Waterfall flow varies by season — spring snowmelt produces peak flows. Check trail conditions before visiting remote sites. Some falls are seasonal and may be dry in late summer. Explore all waterfalls on the Trek4Free map →
