Missouri's waterfalls are modest in height but numerous in the Ozark Plateau. Mina Sauk Falls in Taum Sauk Mountain State Park is the highest waterfall in Missouri at 132 feet during peak flow — a series of cascades on the East Fork of the Black River, accessible by a 3-mile loop trail. Greer Spring Falls near Winona in the Mark Twain National Forest has a large spring outflow that drops into the Eleven Point River. Ha Ha Tonka Spring in Ha Ha Tonka State Park is a first-magnitude spring with a small falls. Most Missouri falls are seasonal and depend heavily on rainfall.
