EXPLORE · WATERFALLS
Massachusetts waterfall geography is concentrated in the Pioneer Valley and the Berkshires. Campbell Falls in New Marlborough is a 60-foot two-tier falls on Whiting River, straddling the Connecticut border — accessible from either state. Bash Bish Falls in Mount Washington State Forest is the highest waterfall in Massachusetts at 60 feet, dropping into a deep pool in a narrow gorge — accessible by a steep 1.5-mile trail. Royalston Falls in the Trustees of Reservations watershed is an 80-foot falls on Tully River accessible by a 3-mile round trip. Chapel Falls in Ashfield is a small but beautiful cascade in the Chapelbrook Reservation.
Waterfall flow varies by season — spring snowmelt produces peak flows. Check trail conditions before visiting remote sites. Some falls are seasonal and may be dry in late summer. Explore all waterfalls on the Trek4Free map →
