Swimming Holes in Kansas

Kansas has minimal swimming hole geography — it is one of the least topographically varied states in the country. Milford Lake has a designated swimming beach at Milford State Park, the largest lake in Kansas. Kanopolis State Park on the Smoky Hill River has swimming in a reservoir. Council Grove Lake and Cheney Reservoir have state park beach access. For natural swimming hole terrain, Kansas residents drive east into the Ozarks of Missouri or south into the Ouachitas of Oklahoma.
