Swimming Holes in Delaware

Delaware is flat coastal plain with no conditions for swimming hole development. Lums Pond State Park has a designated swim beach on the largest freshwater pond in the state. White Clay Creek State Park near Newark has cold stream swimming in the natural area above the Delaware border. For swimming hole terrain, Delaware residents cross into the Pennsylvania limestone country two hours north.
